This wine has the brightest fruit character of all our Pinot Noirs. The aromatics brim with wild strawberry, mulberry, and orange peel, with a delicate rose petal laced throughout. Classic Anderson Valley tea characters emerge slowly in the glass and carry through to the palate – bergamot, hibiscus, and star anise. The palate is focused and driven, with crunchy, fresh acid and quenching bursts of currant, lingonberry, and pomegranate.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The vaunted Ferrington Vineyard is located just outside the town of Boonville, an area of Anderson Valley that is more protected from the maritime breeze, giving the wine from Ferrington a classically fruit-driven and opulent Pinot Noir character. This wine is made of a blend of Pommard, Wädenswil, and the Dijon clones 115, 777, and 828.
Production Notes
The fruit was harvested in two picks on August 26th and 31st at an average of 23.4° Brix. It then went through a six-day cold soak at 50°F, a seven-day uninoculated primary fermentation peaking at 90°F, and was pressed at dryness. The wine was aged fifteen months in 60-gallon French oak barrels, none of which were new. This vintage marks a transition away from the use of new barrels on our vineyard-designated wines, which we hope will lend greater focus on the terroir of the sites we love.
