2021 FEL Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley
available
The 2021 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir bears the hallmark characters of cherry and chocolate, coupled with intense mission fig and cranberry on the nose. The more savory qualities of olive tapenade, fennel pollen, and graphite offer a heady counterweight to the primary fruit on the palate. The wine’s texture is bold, with a velveteen duality of both polish and edge, balancing richness with brightness.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
This Pinot Noir was sourced from premier vineyards in the Anderson Valley, including the Savoy, Ferrington and Wendling vineyards.
Production Notes
The fruit was harvested in a series of picks between August 30th and September 15th, as we work our way up the valley from the warmer sites to the cooler “Deep End” vineyards. The grapes spent an average of twelve days on skins, with fermentation peaking at 88°F and gentle pressing at dryness to capture the purity of each lot. The wine was aged sixteen months in 60-gallon French oak barrels, 30% of which were new. The vintage is the first to be bottled in lightweight glass, with no tin capsule, and a biodegradable, guaranteed Diam Origine cork. These packaging changes signal our commitment to sustainability as we strive to ensure the longevity of our vineyards, climate, and terroir.
